I finished painting the sun room. If you read my previous post you’ll know all info about the colour and what tools I used. I was a bit worried after I finished the second coat as it looked a little streaky, but the paint dried very smooth and I don’t think it’ll need a 3rd coat.
You’ll notice in this picture that the lighting is yellowish. It almost makes the wall look a little taupe. We plan on trying to find a different light bulb for our track lighting that will be more white.
I don’t believe the gray goes at all with the blinds at all.
So we removed the blinds. In this shot the yellow light isn’t as noticeable and it looks much more gray (which was the colour we were looking for).
Let us know what you think! So looking forward I have a couple projects in mind. I told myself no more painting until the fall, since the weather is just way too nice to be spending it inside painting – although my brother in law told me to give him a whole bunch of reno stuff to do when he comes over in a couple weeks so we might end up tackling “The Pink”.
As you can see it is an eye sore. If I end up letting him off the hook I may start refinishing this table, I’m not crazy about the stain on it, I think I might make the top 1 colour and the bottom another.
Let me know if you have any ideas for the table, my first challenge will be trying to take off the varnish & stain. If you have any tips let me know!

Looks great. I think “match-stick” blinds (made from bamboo – a renewable resource) the same colour as your trim would look good. They’re pretty affordable and can filter some of the hot sun shinning in.
As for your table, distressed white has a nice/clean look. Our table has a natural satin finish top with a black, distressed pedestal base and chairs. I personally like a bit of distressing on tables and chairs because they tend to get scratched/marked from pets, rivets in jeans, dishes sliding, etc. If you plain on staining the table don’t use a varnish/stain “all in one” product. I heard they don’t work very well.

Very nice, the colour compliments the wood trim and stone. I think you should paint the ceiling the same or one shade lighter. Mostly because of the slant but also because there a lot of wood trim and less wall. Just my 2 cents. Awesome job!!!
